2013 Cultural Connections

 Greetings All,
We had a grand old time at the 2013 Cultural Connections at Dixon Elementary School.  Blondean (left) has gone off to Georgia.

Egypt (below center) has gone off to the far south-side to hang with Cathy Tompkins the collector extraordinaire.

Ife (below right) has join a great collection of Divas/doll at Frankie Anderson also on the south-side of Chicago.  Janira (below center) has gone to the northwest side to reside with the doctors Scott on Nashville who are friends from my early years and it was great seeing them again.

Cousin Minnie (left) and Poinsettia Flowers (right) have gone off to Ohio to reside there and their house-mate, Pro. Margaret Ismalia-Mitchell was just a delightful person to spend time with and I know that they shall be happy there.

Umeko (below) found a house-mate with a wonderful sister-friend-artist Felicia Grant-Preston who has taught me this last year to say I love you to more than just blood family.  Thank you to all who stopped by and I love you.

Road Trip

Greetings All,

The Darling Divas/Friends are gearing up for an annual Road Trip to the Cultural Connection at Dixon Elementary School @ 83 S, St, Lawrence, March 9th and 10th.  We hope to see you there and if you do attend stop by and say hello.

Cousin Minnie Update

Greetings All,

Cousin Minnie has been a bit sad since Mamie got a new housemate so she thought that if she update her look that maybe she too would get a housemate.  She has added a blond mink shrug and a lovely wooden purse that she got at boutique "Hobby Lobby".  We shall see if this helps and keep you posted.

Joyuex Noel Update

Greetings All,
I hope/pray that everyone had a great/safe Christmas.  I just got a slide show from Joyuex Noel, she's relocated to the home of Feaster Glassworks.  She's was so excited that she forgot to take pictures of the Feasters, but she did send images of some of the stain glass and some sculptures by Woodrow Nash.  Enjoy;>)

Poinsettia Flowers

Here is my final installment of my Holiday Divas, Poinsettia Flowers.

She too is wearing red lace in the form of a long gown with matching slippers and panties.  Her hair is adorned with a removal Poinsettia hair ornament. She has been reading "Girls Rule! The Power of You". This is a little book that she picked up at Borders by Beth Mende Conny and her daughter Julia Mende Conny.

Missy Toles

Greetings All,

Here is my 2nd in my trio of holiday divas, Missy Toles.  Missy is wearing an ankle length gown and robe with matching slippers.  She also has ruby studded earring and a glittered poinsettia hair ornament.  I wonder if she's related to the fabulous artist Cheryl Toles?
